Though there were many reasons for most of the Jews or Hebrews to reject our Lord Jesus as Christ, the important reason was that He was in the form of an ordinary man. Because of their false thought that God has no specific and particular shape or form, they became the unfaithful people. They did not accept our Lord Jesus as their God and Savior saying that He had the father Joseph and the mother Mary and had brothers and sisters, and thereby lost their eternal blessings (Mark 6:3).
The Hindu religion which was followed by the Jewish religion (in the later period) taught the people through Vedas ‘The Prajapathy-God in visible form’ would be born and foretelling the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ on this earth. But later, this made the people to think that God might have different forms more than a billion forms and started worshipping Him in different forms as they like which in turn lead the people to idol worshipping which is against the will of God.
In a similar way, Islam religion which was followed by the Jewish religion has not accepted our Lord Jesus as their only Lord and Savior because
- He was in the form of a man
- He said that He is the only begotten Son of God.
- He experienced both the worldly birth and death. Like Jews, Muslims also considered our Lord Jesus as a holy person like Moses or David, but never accepted Him as their only God and thereby lost their eternal blessings.
